Oil Motor LLC has been the official distributor of Shell Lubricants in the Republic of Belarus since 2019, which is confirmed by both official information on the website www.shell.com.ru, Distributors Section, and official certificates issued by the representative office of Shell Lubricants in the CIS countries, Shell Oil LLC (Russian Federation, Moscow).
Since March 2019, all shipments of Shell products have been made from EU plants. The core plant for the production of Shell products is the plant in Hamburg (Germany). Also, deliveries are made from plants in Spain, Italy, France, Turkey, South Korea, USA, etc. The main difference between the packaging of products in consumer containers produced in the EU and the Russian Federation is as follows:
Shell products supplied from EU plants do not have holographic stickers. These stickers are applied at the Shell plant in the Russian Federation (Torzhok) and are designed to combat counterfeit products. Due to the fact that there is no problem with counterfeiting in Europe, there is no need to apply this holographic protection.
You can determine the country of manufacture of a product both by the designation on the back of the label and by the batch code that is applied by an inkjet printer during the manufacture of the product at the plant. An example of a batch code for a product produced in the Russian Federation and at the Shell plant in Hamburg is given below. This batch code is decrypted as follows:
The batch code is followed by the production time (information for consumer containers (1, 4, 5 L). The production time on a cask tare is indicated between 1 and 2 stiffeners (from the bottom of the barrel).
Please note that consumer containers (1, 4, 5 L) produced at Shell EU plants do not have a control metallized protection in the canister neck.
When purchasing a product, please pay attention to the following:
1. Country of origin
2. Batch code
3. Production date – please pay attention here!
There are practically no supplies from the Russian Federation from March 2019, as insignificant quotas were allocated.
It is recommended to check the control mark, which MUST be on the neck of either a canister or a barrel, in the system http://blank.bisc.by/. The procedure is simple: enter the type of control mark (204607 for consumer containers, 204609 for cask tares), series and number IN CAPITAL LETTERS ONLY in the appropriate columns and get information about the supplier.
PLEASE NOTE that Oil Motor LLC as an official distributor is only responsible for Shell products supplied by it on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
Deliveries of Shell products from the territory of the Russian Federation by third-party suppliers can be made:
1. Without quotas
2. Without presenting relevant documents
3. In violation of intellectual property rights
In this case, this product may be a COUNTERFEIT! Be careful when buying it!
